Greetings from The United Grad Commandery State of Missouri, PHA! I serve as the Right Eminent Grand Commander and I am inviting your REGC and line to join us on line for our virtual Grand Conclave on 8 MAY 2021. He can contact he directly for info.
Hello, I am the great-granddaughter of James Jasper Joe Jonah Taylor. According to our family reunion brochure, my great-grandfather was promoted to a 32nd degree mason and worship master of the St. Andrews Lodge No. 10. He was born in 1888, in Homer Louisiana. My great-grandfather settled with his family in Hope, Arkansas until his passing. My grandmother was the only of 17 children who attended and completed high school. She told me a story, about a group of white boys who would harrass her during her walks to school. Once the boys pushed her down, and she told her brothers. She said they returned and beat the boys up. When I asked my family, this past weekend, how did her brothers get away with beating up white boys and not be hung? They responded by saying, "Its probably because "Poppa Joe" was a powerful Mason. I am gathering my great-grandfather's history, and was wondering if you have any documentation reflecting his master masonry legacy. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the first to join an organized fraternal organization of a man who fathered 17 children. His history is important to my own story and my family's connections to his legacy.

Can you provide any information about this Lodge (ie, members, officers, etc.). It would be great to know how many of my family were Masons and/or OES members. Thanks WB Freddie L Morris, Jr. KYCH
