HAM, The Second son of Noah

Meanings:

Without the Nile River, the Egyptians would starve, for it brings the rich black silt from Africa and deposits it as the Nile overflows every year.

  1. Cush:  Means, “Black.”  The name appears as another name in “Cushan” found in Habakkuk 3:7.  Also as “Cushi” in II Samuel 18:21-32; Jeremiah 36:14; Zephaniah 1:1.

  4. Canaan:  Means, “low.”  Cursed by Noah.  Name of the Promised Land.
